Dear SBS members,

We are happy to announce that we have now pooled the resources of various former Departments and tabled a list of equipments that could be shared at nominal or free-of-charge use, to support the research needs of all SBS members. This list will increase as we acquire more pieces of new equipments in the future. The current policy is that facilities and services are available to SBS members only while visitors/collaborators could affiliate with a SBS Principle Investigator for access. SBS members may apply for an ePass and use the system on their own after being properly trained by technician-in-charge of the facilities. We aim to provide efficient services, yet with safety for all users, our utmost concern. Therefore, please follow the regulations set on the use of each piece of equipment and request assistance from technician in charge of the equipment.

To access the equipments, please logon into our Intranet booking system and make your booking. Please note that once booking of equipment is made, it will be automatically charged to your SBS account. All SBS members will receive a 50% subsidy from the School. The core laboratories are open from 9:00 to 17:30. Accommodations will be made for after-hour services upon prior arrangement with the Core personnel (contact Jean Kung Tel:3943 6859) . If you want to use the equipments in the newly established Macromolecular and Microarray Core in room 414, please contact Beatrice Cheng at Tel: 3943 8023.

We hope you will take every opportunity to make good use of these valuable resources. We welcome all feedbacks which will help us improve the services offered by the Core Laboratories. May we take this opportunity in wishing you every success in your research.
