Orientation Session for Freshmen of the Division of Biomedical Sciences
The orientation session for newly admitted freshmen to the Graduate Division of Biomedical Sciences in 2017-18 was successfully organized by the 6th School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) Postgraduate Student Association (PSA) on 11 August 2017.

During the event, Mr. Bruce T.K. Pang, Vice President of SBS PSA, warmly welcomed the freshmen by giving them a brief introduction of the School, the history of SBS PSA and the activities organized by the PSA so far. Other PSA members and senior students also shared with the freshmen their research, study and living experience on campus and in Hong Kong. After several ice-breaking games, the newcomers were briefed on the organization of SBS Postgraduate Research Day 2016. With the encouragement of senior students, many of the freshmen volunteered to join the Organizing Committee of the SBS Postgraduate Research Day 2017. At the end of the event, Prof. Chan Wai-yee, School Director and Prof. Woody W.Y. Chan, Associate Director (Graduate Education), gave a few words of advice and encouragement, and extended their warmest welcome to the freshmen.

The orientation session allows our freshmen to have a joyful and fruitful discussion with their fellow schoolmates, and also helps them acclimatize to the new research environment in the School.
