The School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) Virtual Research Day 2020 was successfully conducted on 2 and 3 June 2020 via ZOOM platform. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the School continued this annual flagship event in an online video conferencing format and it attracted over 200 participants.

The Virtual Research Day was officiated by Prof. Francis K.L. Chan, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, CUHK and Prof. Andrew M. Chan, Director of SBS. This year we had fifteen Principal Investigators from our three Thematic Research Programs to present their latest discoveries online, with Q & A sessions to enhance interaction among participants.

Since the establishment of the School, the SBS Research Day has been an important annual platform for School investigators in different disciplines gather together to showcase significant research progress. With the participation of researchers in the School, the Faculty as well as other tertiary institutions, and stakeholders in different biomedical sciences fields, it also encourages stimulating discussions and inspires new scientific ideas. It is our hope to open door for further research collaborations among distinguished researchers to advance the frontiers of biomedical sciences. We sincerely thank all the participants for their support to make our first Virtual Research Day a big success.

生物醫學學院盛事「2020生物醫學學院虛擬研究日」（虛擬研究日）在2020年6月2至3日於ZOOM平台順利進行。在新冠肺炎疫情下，本學院改以線上視像會議形式繼續舉行此年度盛事，吸引了超過200位與會者參與。

虛擬研究日由中大醫學院院長陳家亮教授和本學院院長陳文樂教授致開幕辭。今年，十五位來自本學院三個主題研究組的主研究員分享他們最新的科研見解，並於問答環節與參加者作出交流。

自本學院成立起，研究日每年提供一個重要的平台讓學院成員展示最新的研究成果，與會者包括本學院、醫學院及其他大學的學者，以及生物醫學不同領域相關的持分者亦會進行科研交流，期望鼓勵彼此的合作研究，進一步促進生物醫學的發展。我們衷心感謝各與會者的鼎力支持，令首度以虛擬形式舉行的研究日取得成功。
