Dr. Christine S.L. Wong obtained her Ph.D. degree in Physiology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011 under the supervision of Prof. Huang Yu, focusing on the role of cyclooxygenase-2 in endothelial dysfunction and vascular inflammation. After graduation, she joined Prof. Denisa Wagner’s Laboratory in Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, U.S.A. as a Postdoctoral Fellow to explore the impact of blood cells on vascular inflammation. She was later promoted to Instructor in Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Wong is the awardee of the 2018 Nanyang Assistant Professorship in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. In January 2019, she took up her position as Assistant Professor of Metabolic Disorders in Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, NTU. Her research centres on the role and impact of immune activation in metabolic disease and its complications. She believes stamina is one of the elements of success in research career. “Everyone can run the first 100 meters, but not all can finish a marathon. Perseverance and persistence are important for doing science”.

Dr. Wong has been awarded numerous honors during her research journey, including the Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Output Award (Second-Class Award), Ministry of Education, People’s Republic of China (2018) and Young Investigator Award of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (2013). Also, she is a co-inventor of a recently licensed patent regarding the use of anti-NET compounds in facilitating diabetic wound healing.

黃少玲博士於2011年獲得香港中文大學哲學博士學位（生理學），在黃聿教授的指導下，主要研究環氧合酶-2在內皮功能障礙和血管炎症中的角色。畢業後，她加入了美國哈佛醫學院波士頓兒童醫院Denisa Wagner教授的實驗室擔任博士後研究員，探討血細胞對血管炎症的影響，及後晉升為哈佛醫學院講師。

黃博士是新加坡南洋理工大學2018年南洋助理教授精英招聘計劃的獲獎者，並於2019年1月開始於南洋理工大學李光前醫學院擔任代謝紊亂學助理教授，研究重點是免疫激活在代謝疾病及其併發症中的作用和影響。她認為耐力是科研成功的要素：「每個人都可以跑起初的100米，但不是人人都能完成馬拉松，毅力和堅持對科研非常重要。」

黃博士在研究歷程中獲得了眾多榮譽，包括中華人民共和國教育部高等教育傑出科學研究成果獎（二等獎）（2018年）及國際血栓和止血學會青年研究員獎（2013年）；她亦是專利（抗NET化合物促進糖尿病傷口癒合）的共同發明者，該專利最近獲得藥廠許可。
