On the invitation by the Kunming Institute of Zoology (KIZ), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), China, Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Director of the School of Biomedical Sciences, and Prof. Zhao Hui paid a visit to Kunming on 16 – 17 June 2018.

The visit aimed to discuss the research planning and development of the KIZ – The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Joint Laboratory of Bio-resources and Molecular Research in Common Diseases (the Joint Laboratory) and the possible involvement of CUHK in the newly established CAS Center for Excellence in Animal Evolution and Genetics.

Since the establishment of the Joint Laboratory, our School has been maintaining a close relationship with KIZ in both academic research (see previous academic exchange activities HERE) and student exchanges (see previous student exchange activities HERE).

生物醫學學院院長陳偉儀教授和趙暉教授應邀於2018年6月16至17日到訪中國科學院（中科院）昆明動物研究所。

訪問期間，學院代表與研究所代表進行會晤。雙方分別就中科院昆明動物研究所 – 香港中文大學（中大）生物資源與疾病分子機理聯合實驗室（聯合實驗室）的研究進度和未來發展方向，以及中大和新成立的中科院動物進化與遺傳前沿交叉卓越創新中心的合作可能進行討論。

自聯合實驗室成立以來，本學院與中科院昆明動物研究所一直在學術科研（按此處瀏覽過往的交流活動）和學生交流方面（按此處瀏覽過往的交流活動）保持緊密的聯繫。
