Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Professor and Founding Director of the School of Biomedical Sciences, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has recently been appointed as the Chair of the Hospital Governing Committee, North District Hospital by the Hospital Authority Board, Hong Kong in April 2020 for a term of two years. The Committee aims to enhance community participation and governance of the public hospitals in accordance with the Hospital Authority Ordinance.

Also, Prof. Chan was endowed as Li Ka Shing Professor of Biomedical Sciences, CUHK in May 2020. We sincerely congratulate Prof. Chan for the appointment and honour received which recognise his continued and outstanding contributions to biomedical sciences and community engagement.

香港中文大學生物醫學學院教授及創始院長陳偉儀教授於2020年4月獲香港醫院管理局大會委任為北區醫院醫院管治委員會主席，任期為兩年。該委員會根據《醫院管理局條例》、為促進社區參與及加強公立醫院管治而成立。

陳偉儀教授亦於2020年5月獲頒授香港中文大學李嘉誠生物醫學講座教授之名銜。以上的榮譽及委任肯定陳教授一直在生物醫學領域及社區參與方面上的傑出貢獻，我們謹致以衷心的祝賀。
