Following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Guangdong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (GD-TCM) in 2017, the SBS-GD-TCM Translational Collaborative Innovation Programme was established for promoting research collaboration between the two institutions.

To mark the completion of Batch I project of SBS-GD-TCM Translational Collaborative Innovation Programme, a Closure Meeting was conducted at the SBS on 1 November 2023 to conclude the project’s fruitful research outcomes. Prof. Yang Zhimin, Vice-president of GD-TCMG led a delegation to SBS and attended the meeting.

Prof. Guo Jianwen of GD-TCM began the meeting by presenting the project background. Dr. Lu Gang, coordinator of the project at SBS, then provided an overview of the project, which was followed by remarks from Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Li Ka Shing Professor of Biomedical Sciences, Prof. Andrew M. Chan, Director of SBS, and Prof. Yang Zhimin, Vice-President of GD-TCMG. Following that, the individual research teams held four report and discussion sessions on the collaborative research projects. Following the report sessions, a meeting was held to discuss the project's next plans.

We look forward to the next phase of the project's growth in order to achieve the highest scientific and research successes.

香港中文大學生物醫學學院與廣東省中醫院於2017年簽署合作協議，並開展「生物醫學學院 – 廣東省中醫院協同創新項目」，以促進雙方的科研合作。

2023年11月1日，生物醫學學院 – 廣東省中醫院協同創新項目結題匯報會議在本學院舉行，為第一期項目取得的豐碩研究成果進行總結。廣東省中醫院副院長楊志敏教授率團訪問本學院並出席會議。

會議首先由廣東省中醫院重大項目處處長郭建文教授介紹項目背景。本學院項目協調人路鋼研究員隨後作出項目總體匯報。李嘉誠生物醫學講座教授陳偉儀教授和本學院院長陳文樂教授，以及廣東省中醫院副院長楊志敏教授亦分別發言。接著，四組研究團隊就合作研究項目進行了報告和討論。報告會後還舉行了會議，討論項目的未來計劃。

我們期待著項目下一階段的發展，以取得最大的學術及科研成果。
