On 4 October 2023, a delegation from the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS), the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), led by Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Li Ka Shing Professor of Biomedical Science, and including Prof. Wan Chao and Prof. Zhao Hui, attended the first Committee Meeting of the Second Academic Committee, the Ministry of Education (MOE) Key Laboratory of Regenerative Medicine (CUHK-Jinan University) at Jinan University. The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format, with participants from both SBS and Jinan University.

The meeting included presentations on the progress of the Key Laboratory and its research. The Academic Committee discussed the laboratory's goals, research directions, and challenges, and offered suggestions for its future development.

The Committee encouraged members to strengthen academic cooperation and exchange, nurture the next generation of scientists and clinicians, and promote innovation and clinical translation of basic research achievements to serve the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Innovation Centre.

Following the Committee Meeting, a networking and exchange programme between PI members of MOE Key Laboratory from CUHK and Jinan University was launched on 15 December 2023. SBS members including Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Prof. Chan Hon-fai, Prof. Anna Maria Blocki, Prof. Gao Bo, Prof. Gu Shen, Prof. Jiang Xiaohua, Prof. Wan Chao, Prof. Wang Wuming and Prof. Zhao Hui attended the meeting. 10 research teams from CUHK and 10 research teams from Jinan University exchanged their research directions, projects and experiences. The programme aimed to foster academic exchange and cooperation between the PI members of the MOE Key Laboratory of CUHK and Jinan University in the research field of regenerative medicine.

由香港中文大學（中大）生物醫學學院李嘉誠生物醫學講座教授陳偉儀教授帶領下，包括萬超教授和趙輝教授在內的代表團於2023年10月4日參與了在暨南大學舉行的再生醫學教育部重點實驗室（香港中文大學-暨南大學）（重點實驗室）第二屆學術委員會的第一次會議。會議以網上和實體混合形式進行，來自本學院和暨南大學的學術人員參與了會議。

會議上報告了有關重點實驗室及其研究進展，討論了重點實驗室的目標、研究方向和面臨的挑戰，並對其將來的發展提出了建議。

委員會鼓勵成員加強學術合作和交流，培養下一代醫學科研人員，並推動基礎研究成果的創新和臨床轉化，以幫助粵港澳大灣區國際創新中心的發展。

委員會會議舉行後，中大和暨南大學的再生醫學教育部重點實驗室首席研究員交流計劃於2023年12月15日開展。本學院成員包括陳偉儀教授、陳漢輝教授、Anna Maria Blocki教授、高波教授、顧燊教授、蔣曉華教授、萬超教授、王武明教授和趙暉教授參加了會議。來自中大的10隊研究團隊和來自暨南大學的10隊研究團隊在會上互相討論了研究方向、項目和經驗。該計劃旨在促進中大和暨南大學的重點實驗室首席研究員在再生醫學研究領域的學術交流和合作。
